Mt.

Mt. was formed from the rubble of ctrlaltdelete and, like all geological formations, the band have changed considerably over time. The current line-up consists of brothers Ben and Joe Maxwell, along with Andy Harvey. Another comparison that can be drawn between geological formations and Mt. is the speed they have progressed. Two years after the debut album Lethologica, the band are finally gearing up to release new E.P. ‘Teach Your Children How To Think, Not What To Think’, (recorded by Nic Jay at Fisher Street Studios and mastered by Aereogramme’s Iain Cook) and have returned to the stage. Mt. played their first show in two years at the Cube Cinema in Bristol on Friday the 6th of March, and are currently working on their second album. These Are Truly The Last Days is a musical project with a driven experimental twist. Their music blurs the lines between various genres, including ambient, electronica, glitch hop, and more. The project’s self-titled studio effort features 11 studio tracks.

Review for OVUM by Chronotope Project

Crafting a concept album is an incredibly difficult task. Tying together a cohesive narrative across a record’s worth of songs isn’t just daunting, it’s an endeavour that even some of the industry’s finest have failed to do memorably. This task, however, becomes notably more difficult when you’re dealing in the abstract via instrumental soundscapes. That is what Chronotope Project, the moniker of composer Jeffrey Ericson Allen, attempts to do with his latest project, ‘Ovum.’
