Byla consists of Kevin Hufnagel of Relapse Records’ instrumentalists Dysrhythmia, and Colin Marston of Dysrhythmia, Epicene/Troubleman recording artists Behold… the Arctopus, Crucial Blast Records experimental duo Infidel?/Castro!, and Profound Lore black metal band Krallice.
Though their respective bands are more known for technical and abrasive music, Byla focuses on creating dream-like, rich atmospherics. Using guitar as it’s primary sound source, Byla takes the listener from epic sound walls to late night, half-asleep drones.
