[ These Seeds ] is " Bobby Yagodich " the man behind [ NIGHT ] who’s been writing and compiling solo material for this project just over a year and a half and finally this year have put them all together and released his the first two albums under the alias of [ These Seeds ].
The latest album [ Greater Distances Pt. 2 ] was written and recorded by " Bobby Yagodich ". This is just the solo ambient stuff that flashes his mind while in his absolute loneliness. All 3 of the [ These Seeds ] releases are for free to download & stream over at bandcamp.
[ We Found Life ] is s harrowing journey that takes you through layers of despairing fog and onwards into the brighter moments of life only brought about through inner-reflection. This album follows the same lush ambient droning styles portrayed in all his previous releases.
But this album stands to bring the aspect of melodic instrumentation to the forefront of the sound and incorporates more soundclips & found sound; bringing a more emotionally tangible feeling to his music this time around. The music on this album finally brings, full-circle, the sound and feeling of all Bobby's previous works together.
Bringing aspects from each album together into one truly meditative monologue on life, Bobby proves yet again that music can transcend its physical properties and take on a new life & meaning when put in the proper contexts.
~~~~~~~ ( The end result of [ These Seeds ] is a lot more slow moving and free form of flaws as oppose to the faster post-rock sound he plays in [ Night ]. Personally I prefer the overall outcome of [ These Seeds ] much more than [ Night ].
It’s a different atmosphere all together " don’t get me wrong " but the sound is just so much drone(ish) and ambient(is). NICE ONE. I can definitely deal with that. [ BandCamp ] ). ~~~~~~~
He writes dark atmospheric folk music with lush sweeping dreamy soundscapes and Celtic-twinged instrumentation. His new album LAND OF EVERGONE strikes a balance that is intimate and soaring, peaceful and haunting, sad and quietly joyful, delicately reverberating with Murray's dreamy voice and guitar playing.
Orellana is a neo-classical/post-rock collective hailing from Bristol, UK. Their new album “52”, released in late December, brought in the new year with it’s explosive and intricate sound. The project’s music transcends genre definitions in order to focus on a broad, diverse concept that is more emotional than tangible. This particular release is full of rich and diverse arrangements, but it is also a powerful exercise in minimalism, one that showcases the strength of very few notes placed in the right spots. The simplicity of the arrangement is actually one of the strongest aspects of this entire release: there’s a palpable stillness created by the long, drone notes in the background, which almost makes you feel like the world is happening in slow motion. When the chords and notes change, it feels quite monumental due to the beautiful contrast between the stillness of the background textures and the expressive sound of the guitar-based melodies.
