If you’ve ever had the chance to travel, you know that it changes your life. After a year on the road, from the jordanian dunes to the asphalt of Nashville, Julien Magot locked himself in his appartement to record ‘Fue’, the first album of his lonely adventure Appalache. If you’ve ever had the chance to travel for a long-time, you know how hard it is to fight against monotony of a daily life.

This is maybe the start of this story, a way to escape from the outside world’s oppression, a dream about a dream inside a dream, where flashbacks can be possible futures. More than a story, ‘Fue’ can be the painting of a luxuriant desert under the moonlight, maybe like the one on the Barn Owl’s Lost In The Glare cover. 8 songs for 8 colors, leaded by an electric guitar and indians spirits, both hunting for serenity…

Let me tell you something : At daylight I made a dream. We were all floating in the air, entranced by a force we did not even know. And it felt great. “However, I have always prayed, and I believe that the Almighty has always protected me.” Geronimo (Chiricahua Apache Chief) and that’s where comes that force, from the Almighty. We should be all protected by this huge force as I draw my inspiration from Indian/Bible beliefs.

As Indians believe in a God, I believe in a God of mercy and of hope. This album is about how everyone is while they believe in nothing. Try to believe. This is all about exaltation of the future, what you can expect and what it could bring to you. By faith. Every Appalache album is a different travel. -Fue- is about spirituality. These Are But Dreaming Men, Breathe and They Fade by Patkus

Somewhere at the intersection of modern classical, ambient, and post-rock, Philadelphia-based guitarist Patkus evokes nostalgia and contemplation through pulsating swirls of melody that pierce through clouds of harmonic distortion. "These Are But Dreaming Men, Breathe and They Fade" is Patkus' third full-length album, building upon the idiosyncratic blend of influences and composition techniques heard on 2015's "Colors." Dedicated to the loss of his beloved grandmother, "These Are But Dreaming Men, Breathe and They Fade" mirrors Patkus' journey from loss to acceptance; a search for catharsis tinged with hope.
