"Gruta was formed in 2012 and counts with Cadu Tenório and Thiago Miazzo, which are both involved in countless noise, drone and industrial projects, not to mention of being part of TOC Label, an experimental music label from Brazil.

With the use of improvisations and technics from field recording, the duo utilizes microphones and pedals to create, through the captation of processed ambiences and surfaces, a gloomy but involving sound, based on creepy and obscure environment that oscillate between tension and more calm moments. The first release, Grito, is available in cassette form, via TOC Label."

Their new record, “I Want to Stand Where the Sun Himself Shakes with Fear”, is a five song album that navigates alt-rock, experimental, and borderline metal and progressive influences all at the same time.
