Transounds

transounds is a concept devised by two friends, Jordanne & Cagney. After 8 years of friendship built through exchanging music, making compilations and going to gigs, they now feel that it is time to share their varied and unique taste with a wider audience. The pair create playlists that provoke images or feelings of different themes and sub-cultures worldwide. Their music selections can have you enjoying the finest Arabica coffee in Brazil, chilling at an Inuit tea party or analyzing the provocativeness of the latest guerilla street art, simply through the sounds emerging from your speakers.

The sounds chosen are not stereotypical examples of these movements, instead they are transounds' perception, guiding you through various global soundscapes. Through their explorative natures, transounds will continue to share music for as long as there are new territories to explore in an ever-evolving world.

[ I Wish It Was Summer ] is a mix of Various Selected Artists' mainly ambient, electro and down-tempo but really well done based on the quoted tags. Downloading is available through SoundCloud itself as a one piece of flawless electro piece. CHECK IT OUT.

[ Spirits In The Snowhouse ] is a mix based on an imaginary Inuit tea party and effortlessly blends together a mix of indie electronica, experimental, techno and soul and is the first in transounds' series of mixes based on sub-cultures.

[ Noma ]. Transounds are proud to present the third in their series of mixes based on subcultures. 'Noma' provides a selection of music that would be the perfect accompaniment to a sophisticated dinner party. With the rise of foodie culture and an increase in cookery programmes on our televisions, transounds were inspired to create this mix with the same attitude that award winning restaurant 'Noma' applies in their approach to cooking, to combine the finest ingredients to achieve a high quality end product.

Transounds presents the fourth mix in their series based on subcultures. This time they take you on a journey through thick vegetation and a humid climate to reach a private party in The Rainforest. Permeated with music influenced by Samba, tribal drum patterns and experimental sounds, this mix will make you feel a glow of happiness and left feeling emotionally connected to the spirit of the Rainforest. With the ongoing issue involving climate change and the effect that we are having on our environment, we think that it’s important to look after our surroundings. However many companies still have no problem with ruining the Earth for immediate profit. We hope this mix encourages you to think a little more about our little planet.

Review for "I Want to Stand Where the Sun Himself Shakes with Fear" by Voices from Deep Below

Even though the independent rock scene is quite inundated with new acts, there’s always a welcome place for an outfit that changes the formula enough to be consistently interesting and worth taking notice of. The New York-based alternative rock group Voices from Deep Below attempts to do just that, fusing together a variety of styles into a surprisingly coherent sound. Their new record, “I Want to Stand Where the Sun Himself Shakes with Fear”, is a five song album that navigates alt-rock, experimental, and borderline metal and progressive influences all at the same time.
