Adam Purdy is a musician and producer currently based in Auckland, New Zealand. Driven by a true passion for the art, Adam graduated from The University Of Waikato in 2010 with a degree in music and since then has steadily pursuing a career in the industry operating under the moniker ‘Bambino’. If your a fan of [ Bonobo ] ~ [ Nym ] ~ [ Emancipator ] or anything anything pertaining of down-tempo elements or a cross between of trip-hop and ambient then this should suit you perfect.

To date [ Bonobo ] has released 4 titles and they are as follow's

2012 - Overseas 2011 - Monitors 2011 - Cold Wood Burn 2011 - 20 days 20 acapellas

[ Overseas ] being the latest one, released on [ Cult Classic Records ] it's where I would strongly suggest to start as it's a smooth listen and extremely accessible on all level. [ Monitors ] on the other hand was produced over the course of a year. Taking what [ Bembino ] felt was the best 12 tracks he made in 2010 and giving them away for free. So yeah simply chill-out on your balcony with a bud' in your hand and enjoy. Like said ALL 4 RELEASES are totally worth the listen. You guys know only on seldom occasion's I'll do trip-hop or rap post but when I do it's got to be good.

The Great Long Distance by John D. Reedy

The Great Long Distance is an audible recollection of the first 12 months of a long distance relationship, including the highs and lows and moments in between. It is a journal without words, each of the 12 tracks representing each month respectively. Inspired by the format of NIN's "Ghosts I-IV", the album is a sonic tapestry of different moods and themes, with various recurring motifs and the subtle melding of synthesizer and samples; the result something not quite classical, ambient or electronic - rather, an eclectic blend of the three. Review of "Burial Songs" by Palehorse/Palerider

Review for "I Want to Stand Where the Sun Himself Shakes with Fear" by Voices from Deep Below

Even though the independent rock scene is quite inundated with new acts, there’s always a welcome place for an outfit that changes the formula enough to be consistently interesting and worth taking notice of. The New York-based alternative rock group Voices from Deep Below attempts to do just that, fusing together a variety of styles into a surprisingly coherent sound. Their new record, “I Want to Stand Where the Sun Himself Shakes with Fear”, is a five song album that navigates alt-rock, experimental, and borderline metal and progressive influences all at the same time.
