In A Sleeping Mood
Hello… We are [ In a Sleeping Mood ], a multi-instrumentalist duo based in London. We want to bring to your attention our latest project called “Diluted sounds”. Started on January 1st it will conclude with the end of-current year (365 days). It consists of creating daily sound sketches supported by various forms of art ( images, video and poetry ).
It is an ongoing project whose aim is to involve as many artists as possible with the purpose of creating a direct connection between two or more different artistic expressions. Even though The project has started two weeks ago, we having good feedback and it has already on schedule many collaborations with various international artists.
We strongly believe in this idea and we think it deserves more attention because we are confident that it will carve out an important position in the world of contemporary art, especially through the overall use of the internet. It can easily turn into the quickest way artists can interact with each other and give them the chance to develop a collective/network in which they can create in fully freedom and completely out of the market logic, in compliance of the creative commons ideals.
Over the years we’ve supported 1000′s of artists and I’ve been thoroughly impressed by tons of project out there. Let it be on the creativity side of things or the general overall sounding and even core idea behind a specific project. That in mind I have to say [ In a Sleeping Mood ] is yet another impressive project with the fundamental idea of bringing various artists together to share certain sound / sketches and building a bond between two or more artists. Those sound sketches will be supported by either an image, a video or a text. Due to that what will be created is an synaesthetic work whose goal is to go beyond the contemporary idea of ‘consumer art’. PS: You might want to start with [ Draft ] followed by [ Nebula ] on this one but make no mistake [ Dilute Sounds ] is just as good, it’s just that a lot of tracks on [ Dilute Sounds ] are very short.
