[ Submit Your Project ]
As most of our readers are aware of, The Sirens Sound has been taking submission from artists, labels and PR’s since day 1. We are open to receiving any material, provided that the sound falls [within the parameters] to the types of music we usually cover on TSS. That said if you are unsure about your music falling within our topical discussion and entries; please feel free to send us an inquiry and we shall gladly look into it. Below are some [Q and A’s] that hopefully will shed some light on the whole process.
Q: My music is not an official release yet; it’s personal material I’ve been working on for years and it’s not for sales through any media or recording label. Can my project secure a space on TSS?
A: If it’s topical to TSS type of music’s i.e [ Post-rock, Shoegaze, Experimental, Instrumental, Ambient, Drone, Psychedelic, Stoner, Classical, Mod-classical and any [ associated sub-genre ]. Yes you definitely on pal.
Q: I have an official release through on [ x ] Recording Label but the music is not offered as free download and is indeed [ ONLY FOR SALES ] at this particular point in time. Can we secure a space on TSS?
A: Again… If it’s topical to TSS type of music’s i.e [ Post-rock, Shoegaze, Experimental, Instrumental, Ambient, Drone, Psychedelic, Stoner, Classical, Mod-classical and [ any associated sub-genre ] bring it on mate. We support good music regardless as to whether or not, it’s for free or purchase only. In the end it’s your project and your hard work and whichever way you decide to go about promoting your sound, we fully respect your decision and will do our upmost best to support your music regardless.
Q: I’m in a band call [ xxx ] and we’ve recently release a new album which I think will be of an interest to TSS and TSS Readers. How long does it take for my music / album to get posted on TSS?
A: If the below submission form is filled with all the necessary info’s including bio and reviews. Your band should be up in within 48hours time.
Q: Does The Sirens Sound write reviews?
A: No, considering the bulk of submission we get from various sources and at steady pace we move to keep the site updated on a daily basis we simply do not have the necessary resources at our disposal for reviews writing [ at this particular point in time ]. That said I personally write a little note on most albums I post which is by far to be considered a professional review or anything but it’s just my personal experience on how I feel about a particular album or project.
Q: My album was posted on TSS not so long ago and it was great exposure on the 1st day but as my album moved to 3rd and 4th page of TSS site we became less and less noticeable. Is there a way we can have my album featured on TSS Front Page for a longer period of time?
A: Yes you can. We do have a strategy in place where an artist can feature his or her project / album on TSS Front page for a longer period of time. For more information on this promotion strategy, feel free to drop me a line [ [email protected] ].
Q: I submitted a project weeks ago and it has not been featured on TSS and no-one has got back to me yet. Why is that?
A: If it’s a case where you submitted a project for weeks and still haven’t seen it on TSS or heard from us yet. Then it’s most likely that the sound is not TSS related music. As harsh as this may sound and [ My Upfront Apology ] for that… in very few cases, yes you might get a mail stating so but to be honest most of the time the album simply goes to a [ none TSS music’s related ] folder and that’s it.
And that’s about it lads… If you have any questions that is not listed on this [ Q and A’s ] or any other inquiries, you know where to reach me. All the best and keep the good coming.
